Cindellra Man

Russell Crowe is a great actor. This movie didn't do much at the box office, if that doesn't change on DVD people are missing a truly great movie.

Sleepless in Seattle

Great great movie. Magic. I could watch Tom Hanks read the phonebook and love it. This is the kind of movie where Meg Ryan shines.

The two great major stars aside, I feel Rosie O'Donnell and Ross Malinger make this movie a gem. O'Donnell is the best friend every women wants, one that tells you to take a leap. Malinger is smart creative kid who you can't help but agree with at every turn.

Curl up with a box on tisusse and enjoy.

The Notebook

When I read the Nicholas Sparks' novel on which this was based it took less then a day. With most movies based on a book I had my doubts about th]e movie. But I was very impressed with this movie. Great acting, you truly cared about the characters from the very beginning. Worth the watch especially if you like love stories.

Batman Begins

I was not sure what to expect of Batman Begins. Since I haven't a liked a Batman movie since the first one and haven't liked a Batman since Michael Keaton. As for Chistain Bale I knew nothing at all of him. That quickly changed as he quite impressed me, as did the movie. Michael Caine as Alfred very very good.

The movie is fun to watch and will keep wanting more....

Star Wars Episode III

Before seeing this movies I was told it was better the last two, but then I was told second was better that first and well it wasn't. So while I was excited to see this I was guarded as well.

Right from the beginning we see that Ankian has become a good Jedi Knight, although still a little over earger though. After defeating and doing away with Count Dooku the Chancellor is quite pleased with Ankian. When they return we learn that Padme is expecting and even though he seems happy you can see Ankian is quite uneasy. He begins having nightmares of his wife dying in childbirth.

Meanwhile the Chancellor rewards Ankian for saving him by putting him on the coucil. Though pleased Ankian soon realizes his mentor has a motive. The Chancellor wants him to spy on the council. Obi Wan is sent into battle by the Chancellor which gives him a chance to start turning Ankian to the darkside. He tells him only a Jedi from the darkside can prevent certain death.

The final battle between Obi Wan and Ankian is epic, the stuff true Star Wars is made of. All through the movie I felt a little torn. I knew in the end Ankian turned evil but I almost hoped somehow he would. But then I know without him becoming Dath Vador the true Star Wars movies never happen.

I really like this movie, and best part its a perfect lead in I will never need to watch the first two again.

On the Waterfront

I didn't know what to expected from this movie. I'd seen very little of Marlon Brando with the exception of the Godfather. Yes he was The Godfather but overall had a very small role. So On the Waterfront was really my first chance to see him.

His character of Terry Malloy was incredile. Terry is just starting work on the waterfront in the 'union' when he asked get a fellow worker onto the roof. A few moment the falls to his death. People start asking questions including the dead man's sister. While trying to get Terry to tell her the truth about that night they fell in love. Which makes it even harder for Terry to hide what he knows.

The cast, the acting all amazing. Brando was true greatness.

Big Fish

Big Fish was one of the greatest movies to watch. Edward Bloom always tells a story of how of the day his son Will was born he caught a giant fish with his wedding ring. Not to long into the we learn that the story and many others Edward tells is a big fish story. A magical adventure worth every minute. You reealed in right from the start.

His Girl Friday

Cary Grant is great to watch. The thing that impresses me most about these old movies is the strong women characters; the way they talk walk and dress. It is true that Grant's character got his way in the end but I think that is why he loved Hildy so much because she could keep with him.

Roman Holiday

I am getting into old movies. The latest being Romam Holiday. It was wonderful Hepburn and Peck were amazing. The most impressive thing I found was how strong Hepburn's character was. You think of women in that time period as being seen not heard.

Garden State

I've been waiting to see Garden State for a while so my expectations were high. At the start of the movies seeing the main character Andrew(Zach Braff) open his medicine to what looked a drug store I thought I'd just be seeing a two hour drug trip. My fears were almost realized when ten minutes later he was getting high at a party. To my delight however it was anything but the drug fest I'd feared.

Andrew was returning after nine years for his mother's funeral. To avoid dealing with his past(and his father) Andrew meets some old friends and a new love in the form of Sam (Natelie Portman)

Well worth the time 7/10

Ray

I saw the movie Ray yesterday on DVD. It was superbly acted Jamie Foxx was beyond amazing, he was Ray Charles. I learned a few things about the legend. Had no idea about the drug addiction. How he didn't die is beyond me. So many women his wife deserved much better. Despite his shortcomings, he was a tremendous talent and the movie was great.

Dave Matthews Band-Stand Up

I started my day having my first listen to the new Dave Matthews Band CD "Stand Up." I am a huge fan of the band, but there last few CDs have been a disappointment to me. So I went into this one with no expectations. Overall I really liked it. It didn't blow my away but it will grow on me. Dave's voice is really great, but like the last few CDs, I think they are trying to hard to make a statement. On the earlier CDs it seemed the music just had more a flow.
