Catch Me If You Can is great movie. Leonardo Di Caprio is amazing. The things he was able to pull off were great. Any actor that can put Tom Hanks in a secondary role is a great actor.
Invincible was a pretty good movie. A feel good heartfelt drama. Solid acting and great true story. I really liked how it made you feel like the city was a secondary character.
How to Lose Friends & Alienate People is a movie I had high hope for, I am a big Simon Pegg fan. The movie was just slow and had no payoff. The acting was flat.
I am not a Tyler Perry fan at all. But this movie didn't look as stupid as some of his others. Still rather painful to watch though. Kathy Bates was the only thing that made me finish it.
Twilight was barely watchable. I loved the book series, but the move was just bad. Bad acting, bad casting, bad pacing. I am hoping the next one will improve.
The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie was a good movie. Maggie Smith gives a wonderful proformance. The movie is a great character study. Jean Brodie is seemingly likable, but you can feel she is flawed. She says that others are most important, but only to her gain.
MILK was a great movie. Harvey Milk's story was told with heart and power. You felt the emotions and struggle of him and you knew he'd never give up. Sean Penn was just amazing.
W. was a well done movie. The acting was great. I think the story of Bush was pretty on the mark. I don't think it can be completely right in some ways, because I think Oliver Stone always puts his own spin on things. Overall a great movie.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona was pretty good. I'm not a Woody Allen fan, but I have to admit this movie kept me interested. A good story and beautifully shot.
He's Just Not That into You was a good movie. A tremendous cast and just very entertaining. There were a lot of different stories going on at once, but it all blended nicely. Fun movie.
Zack and Miri Make a Porno was pretty good. I am Kevin Smith fan. So I knew it would have its crude moments but I thought it was really well done. Loved the star wars parts. A great cast. I love Seth Rogen. And Elizabeth Banks has become a huge star.
Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist was ok. I wanted to like it more then I did. There a good plot and I do like Michael Cera. But I felt the film really dragged in the middle.
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is a pretty good movie. It was full of action and was a good story. I really they had at least one notable actor in these movie though. But I suppose if the series continues these actor may become big names.
Dark Passage is a good film. It is very well done. The main character escapes from prison and meets women who thinks he is innocent. Knowing he could never prove it and set to get a new face. Great acting.
Slumdog Millionaire is a great movie. The story was told so well and had such a great flow for having so much going on. Great acting as well from an unknown cast. It is a movie I will need to see again to absorb it all.
The Wrestler is good movie. Mickey Rouke gave a great proformance I really felt he deserved the Oscar. The movie gave a great look at the life of a wrestler and what it really takes to live that life.
Stand By Me is a great movie. The friendship and adventure shared between the boys is wonderful. The character development is great. All four boys have great human story. You feel what they feel.
Pineapple Express is about a process server who witnesses a murder and turns to his drug dealer friend for help. I love Seth Rogen so had high hopes for this movie, but hated it. It was so stupid. Just pointless.
Hope Springs is about a man who is recently dumped who travels to this small town to forget his troubles, Even though they feel he is bit odd everyone grows fond of him. He soon falls in love and then of course his old shows up to profess her love for him.
A very good movie. Ghost is about the two slacker girls who graduate high school and try find their place without conforming. Enid forms a friendship with Seymour a strange eccentric guy who collects record. This draws her away from her best friend. The characters are very odd but you feel a connection with them and they draw in very well. A very interesting movie.
This was a good movie. The type of memory loss and the way it was written was a great concept. Sandler and Barrymore are always great, but it was Sean Austin character that really made me laugh.
Goldeneye is one of the worse movie I've ever seen. Pierce Brosnan was terrible. There was too much of bad guys in the movie and not enough Bond. When he was on screen he was flat and boring.
Stepbrothers was an ok movie. Not a big fan John C. Riley. I think concept of two gown men living at home, could be funny. But this movie tried to hard to be funny. Always great to see Seth Rogen even for a minute.
I completely loved Role Models. I adore Paul Rudd he so talented and its great to see him having sucess. He and Sean William Scott were very funny. But was the kids that made the movie they were great. I think the key to movie was a good pace and balance. There was a good story to keep you interested a great jokes in the right places.
Quantum of Solace is a good movie. This is definatley a darker Bond which I enjoyed. The pace of the movie was good it keeps you interested. The Bond girl was good as well. she had a real purpose.
Daniel Craig is the best Bond since Connery. Sleek and cool and bad at the right times.
For the longest time I resisted Mallrats, every time I would see bits of it on TV and looked stupid. Well it is stupid. Stupid in a good Kevin Smith kind of way. Only Smith could make the story of two slackers who get dumped and go to the mall a good movie. Just like all Kevin Smith creations you know you should hate them, but you just can't help but see their greatness.
Four Christmases was OK. A very simple plot of couple that does everything they can to avoid the holidays with family. After seeing the famulies you understand why.
I really like Vaughn and Reese Whitherspoon, but I didn't think they were that funny. I don't think it was a lack chemisity. They just didn't work for me in the movie.
This was just a watching Christmas about a family returning to their childhood home for the holiday. Acting was ok, plot was predictable. But still pretty enjoyable.
